Who this is for

For the ones ready to step from practising into holding space

This 50-hour training is an immersive journey for those who feel called to deepen their understanding and personal practice of breathwork, with a strong focus on Conscious Connected Breathing.

It is designed for practitioners who already have a foundational experience with breathwork and are ready to explore it in a safe, embodied and responsible way.

It is especially supportive for yoga teachers, facilitators, coaches and mental health professionals who feel called to weave breathwork into the work they already do.

Founders & facilitators

Deborah and Gianluca

Deborah and Gianluca, founders of Senses and Breathwork Sri Lanka, standing together

Deb and Gi have practised, studied and shared breathwork for eight years, across several schools and lineages.

They are also certified yoga teachers, sound therapists and bodywork practitioners, and they have woven all three into a session format of their own, “The Senses Experience”, which you will learn in full.

Every month they hold space for hundreds of people who travel here to feel it, in the purpose-built studio at Senses, wrapped in an immersive sound system and light design. They hold each session together, the masculine and the feminine side by side, so the space stays supportive and inclusive for everyone.

The professional team

Where our graduates are now

Two of the practitioners who trained with us, and what they built afterwards.

Rebekka, breathwork facilitator trained at Senses
After years as an ICU nurse, I knew breath and physiology from the inside out and I had experienced the power of breathwork myself. Senses training enriched my medical expertise in a way I had never imagined, bringing it all together.

Some places don't just host you, they hold you. Senses Sri Lanka did exactly that from the very first moment. As a Sri Lankan, stepping into this space felt like coming home in the most unexpected way. The fact that they offer discounts and donation-based options for locals means this kind of healing is genuinely accessible to us too, not just for visitors passing through.

I attended lots of classes and ecstatic dance at Senses while I stayed in Sri Lanka. It's a beautiful venue in the middle of nature, and the instructors and facilitation are wonderful. I am also a facilitator and yoga teacher, so I am particular about teachers and spaces, but was really impressed with what is offered at Senses. And the owners are lovely and very welcoming! Highly recommend.

A truly intentional sanctuary tucked away in the jungle. The shala at Senses is one of the most tranquil spaces I've experienced, perfect for deepening your wellness practice. It's rare to find a spot that balances professional wellness offerings with such raw, natural serenity. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a genuine reset.
