Some places don't just host you, they hold you. Senses Sri Lanka did exactly that from the very first moment. As a Sri Lankan, stepping into this space felt like coming home in the most unexpected way. The fact that they offer discounts and donation-based options for locals means this kind of healing is genuinely accessible to us too, not just for visitors passing through.

I attended lots of classes and ecstatic dance at Senses while I stayed in Sri Lanka. It's a beautiful venue in the middle of nature, and the instructors and facilitation are wonderful. I am also a facilitator and yoga teacher, so I am particular about teachers and spaces, but was really impressed with what is offered at Senses. And the owners are lovely and very welcoming! Highly recommend.

A truly intentional sanctuary tucked away in the jungle. The shala at Senses is one of the most tranquil spaces I've experienced, perfect for deepening your wellness practice. It's rare to find a spot that balances professional wellness offerings with such raw, natural serenity. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a genuine reset.

Good to know

Before you book

Is this open to beginners?

Yes. It is open to all levels and supports both new and experienced practitioners in building a sustainable self-practice, through traditional teaching and hands-on adjustments.

What is Mysore style?

The traditional way of practising Ashtanga: each student moves through the sequence at their own pace within the shared energy of the room, receiving individual guidance.

Will I be able to lead a Mysore programme afterwards?

That is exactly the second half. You learn to create and lead a Mysore programme, to structure and teach progressive 60, 75 and 90-minute led sequences, introduce beginners, guide mixed-level rooms, and walk students toward independent practice.

Is food and accommodation included?

Brunch and refreshments on training days are included, vegan and vegetarian, farm to plate from the Midigama Fruit Farm. Dinner and accommodation are not, so you can match your budget. The farm has rooms on site from €10 a night, and there are guesthouses within walking distance.
